Five Oaks Farm hosts Supper Club

Over the past couple of years we at Lily & Cane have had the pleasure of outfitting events at Five Oaks Farm. The scenery is breathtaking, we highly recommend this family owned venue for your next event, or better yet, go dine at one of their Supper Clubs.

We sat down with Kelsey to get to know her family’s property better and find out what her plans are for Supper Club.

Tell us about the history of the property?

The Five Oaks Farm is a family owned and operated venue located just south of the scenic Willamette Valley and directly across from the Champoeg State Park. The property was purchased by Selwyn & Deirdre Sampson in 1988 where they raised their three beautiful children and always had the dream that one of them would use the property to host a wedding of their own some day. On September 7, 2019 that dream became a reality  when the youngest of the three hosted his own wedding, and the familys celebrated their love for eachother on the farm where he grew up. Deirdre and Selwyn planted the gardens and flowers that lined their isle, hung the lights from the top of the barn where they danced the night away, and put up a glamping tent for the honeymoon suite. There was so much magic that surrounded this special week, it gave them the inspiration to finally open it up for others to host their own special events.

How would you describe your venue? What makes it different/ special and how should your clients best utilize it?

The Five Oaks Farm includes six acres of outdoor space which includes a reception site, multiple gardens hand planted and curated by the Sampson Family, a newly renovated farmhouse, a rustic barn for the family’s three horses, a large bonfire pit, a rainier wall tent and bivvi a-frame that are both furnished year round, as well as plenty of space for those looking to find a venue where an option to glamp out under the stars after your dream event is not only welcomed it is encouraged.

What about hosting weddings and events?
The Five Oaks Farm plans to keep the number of weddings fairly exclusive since the owners still reside on the property, keeping it’s limit to two weddings a year at this time.

How did Five Oaks Farm get its name?
Every tree, garden, and flower planted on the property has been a labor of love by the Sampson Family.  The name Five Oaks Farm, comes from the 5 Oak Trees that were hand planted by the Sampsons around the property to represent each member of the family.
